# III- Babyshiba: the babydoge killer.

Despite the fact that Shiba Inu is achieving what no other meme coin has ever dared to accomplish, we are compelled to recognize that the first dog-themed coin that sparked the memecoin movement was Dogecoin. <mark style="background-color:red;">Dogecoin, inspired by the famous Doge meme, was a true phenomenon that altered the landscape of cryptocurrency indefinitely.</mark> However, even though it has been integrated into many use cases, Dogecoin remains a meme coin with less ambition than Shiba Inu.\
\ <mark style="background-color:red;">Inspired by the success of Doge, BabyDoge was launched in early June 2021.</mark> Little is known about the creators of BabyDoge. What we do know is that it's a centralized memecoin with high taxes, periodically allocating funds to organizations that aid domestic animals.

The Baby Doge coin gained popularity after being mentioned in a tweet by Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, on July 1, 2021. Musk tweeted, "Baby Doge, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo," referencing the well-known children’s song, Baby Shark. As a result, the price of the Baby Doge coin skyrocketed.

But what has transpired since then? <mark style="background-color:red;">BabyDoge is no longer at its peak and its momentum continues to wane daily.</mark> Despite its prior significance, BabyDoge now seems like any other memecoin which, after a while, begins to experience dwindling community engagement, volume and market cap. It's time for old players to make way for the new ones.

We possess all the essentials to rank among the top meme coins worldwide. However, this accomplishment will not be attributable to an individual or a private group. Rather, it will be a victory for our community - the BabyShibArmy.
